As we enter the holiday season when the alcohol starts flowing freely, it can be a great opportunity for some of us to take a step back and reevaluate our relationship with alcohol. I gave up alcohol just before the holiday season in 2022, and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. Whether you are planning for dry January, you’re sober curious, or you’ve given up alcohol altogether, this delicious and gorgeous drink will satisfy your craving for something special. Beautifully in-season grapefruit plays well with holiday-inspired rosemary and thyme in this simple and playful mocktail. So, grab your prettiest glass and the few simple ingredients below, and let’s get our fizzy drink on!

As many of us already know, grapefruit is a wonderful source of vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant. In fact, one whole grapefruit provides us with 100% of the daily value of vitamin C. What you may not already know about grapefruit is that it can also be beneficial for heart health. A 2012 study in the journal Metabolism suggests that eating grapefruit for six weeks lead to lower blood pressure as compared to a control group. So, don’t throw out the rest of your grapefruit after making the mocktail above! Go ahead and much on whatever doesn’t get squeezed out in the juice.
