AIP CAULI-AVO HUMMUS
I am always looking for new and unique ways to fit more fruits and vegetables into my day, and this legume-free hummus is no exception. A base of cauliflower and avocado is delightfully seasoned with garlic and basil to make a dip perfect for snacking or even AIP entertaining. It whips up quickly in your food processor and freezes well—perfect for meal prepping!
AIP CAULI-AVO HUMMUS RECIPE
Ingredients:
1 and 1/2 ripe avocados
12 oz bag of frozen riced cauliflower
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil (look for cold-pressed, unfiltered oil in glass bottles from a single source like Sky Organics)
1 bunch of basil leaves
A few peeled fresh garlic cloves
Squeeze of lemon
A generous heaping of sea salt to preferred taste (my favorite brand of salt: Saltverk!)
Water for thinning if necessary
Directions:
Place all ingredients in your food processor and run on high until smooth
Feel free to add more olive oil, garlic, salt, and/or water as needed

It boasts numerous health-promoting benefits including anti-bacterial (Amor et al. 2021) and anti-inflammatory effects (Kamelnia et al. 2023).
